Hey there!

I'm Kayla...

I've been married to a traveling partner for over 10 years. My name quickly shifted from Kayla to "Mom" nearly 7 years ago and I've been navigating life as a Sometimes Solo Parent ever since. It's unique and misunderstood by many, but I'm here to tell you, your'e not alone and you deserve support.

Life is messy and imperfect, but I'm living it joyfully. I've struggled over the years to find balance and create a routine that works for our family and our ever-changing unpredictable schedule, and we have finally found flow in our days and (mostly) restful nights. There's been plenty of trials along the way, but one thing is clear to me, my purpose in this world is to show others they are stronger than they know and circumstances should never define who you are and where you're headed. You have the power within you to create a life you love, find what lights you up, and go for it. I'm here to cheer you on and help light the way!

CREATING A LIFE YOU LOVE WAKING UP TO EVERY DAY IS POSSIBLE FOR YOU!

I'm living proof...

There was a time in my marriage and the early days of parenthood where I spent every waking hour doing something only to crash into bed at night wondering what I had actually accomplished. My mind wandered asking questions like:

"Is this really what my life is all about?"

"There has to be more than just cooking and cleaning only to wake up and do it all over again with nothing to show for it."

"Why am I spending my nights mindlessly scrolling on social media for HOURS or zoning out to a numbing tv show, counting down the days until my husband gets home?"

I was well into the hole of resenting my husband for being away for work, getting to sleep (uninterrupted) in a comfy hotel bed while I was home pulling night duty with the toddler. While he was going out for client dinners eating sushi (my favorite) and steak (who doesn't love a good steak?) I was at home eating chicken nuggets with mac n cheese for the 8th night this week!

Something had to change...and it was up to me to do the work or I was going to end up divorced.

Small choices lead to

big changes!

I started with a small choice to spend 10 minutes reading every day while I drank my coffee. The book that started my upward climb toward better days was "Atomic Habits" by James Clear.

I had to figure out a way to make my evenings easier - cooking, doing dishes, and putting a toddler to bed on my own, leaving me exhausted and avoiding making my own dinner at 9pm (cereal again) wasn't working anymore.

I continuously made small, almost meaningless, choices about how to spend my time. I became more aware of the thoughts that were running on repeat in my brain all day. WOW! Who talks to me like that?

Quite honestly, I started living my days more consciously aware of my surroundings and how I moved through them.

I've lived in the depths of frustration and resentment, numbing through social media, and wondering why things won't change. Complaining about not having a support system and how I was being left to handle so much on my own.

The truth is...nothing was going to change, unless I made a change.

Then I did the hard stuff...

I decided to get honest with myself and went down the rabbit hole of how and what. Now I'm here to show you.

I'll take you by the hand and walk you through the hardest parts of being alone and help you to see you can use your loneliness for good. You can start moving toward a life you love waking up to every day. It's simple, but it's not easy.

I'll help you see things in yourself you otherwise wouldn't want to know. You're either going to love me for it or hate me for it - kind of like Taylor Swift. 🤷🏽‍♀️ If you're ready to take a hard look in the mirror and make a change in your life, then I'm probably the one you've been looking for so click that link and let's do this!

What My Clients Say

In just 6 weeks, I feel like I learned to look at my problems from new angles. I learned to take a moment to breathe and not react. I learned to think about what I want and not what everyone else is going to say. I feel like I now have a jumping off point to refocus my energy onto myself. I'm finding myself happier and a bit more relaxed. Thanks for coaching me and showing me that I can still change, even into my 40s!
